Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions are agreed to by and between Blackberry Ridge Chihuahuas (herein after referred to as 'Breeder'), and the buyer, as identified by information presented on the "Ownership Application".

1. Buyer must completely fill out "Ownership Application". Breeder will reserve the puppy and process the application when the completed application and required 25% non-refundable* deposit have been received. All Sales are subject to approval by Breeder. Breeder reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time and for any reason. Any pending transaction may be cancelled by the Breeder at any time. If the application is not approved, the buyer will be notified and the deposit will be returned less any fees*. The puppy will then become available to the next purchaser.

2. Breeder represents that the puppy has no known disease or illness, and has no known congenital or hereditary conditions that would adversely affect the health of the pup at the time of sale or that is likely to adversely affect the health of the pup.

3. Breeder is not responsible to buyer for any payment of veterinarian fees for examinations, vaccinations, x-rays or any other medical treatments for the puppy in the future.

4. Breeder cannot and does not guarantee breeding abilities, size, or quality of show whether or not registered or registerable. This includes all faults of any kind.

5. Deposits are non-refundable unless the sale is declined for any reason or your puppy dies in our care. If this unfortunate event takes place, you will be given the opportunity to choose another available puppy of equal value or have your deposit returned less any fees*.

6. If buyer is unable to provide a loving, safe home for the puppy, Blackberry Ridge Chihuahuas has the first right or refusal for the dog and/or will assist in finding a home for the dog.

7. Buyer has read Limited Health Guarantee within this website.

8. Buyer understands that a Chihuahua puppy requires EXTRA CARE and attention to remain healthy. Buyer should not travel extensively with this puppy until all vaccinations are complete due to diseases such as rabies and other contracted diseases. Our guarantee does not cover Parvo!!!! This puppy cannot be left for long periods of time or left outside and/or unattended. Buyer agrees to this puppy residing indoors only. This puppy should not be handled by young children or excessively by adults.

9. Buyer has been made aware of this breed's susceptibility to hypoglycemia and has been provided with information regarding prevention, recognition of and courses of treatment for the condition. Therefore, Breeder will not be responsible for the puppy becoming hypoglycemic resulting in death.

10. Buyer must have a veterinarian recommendation submitted to Breeder before purchase of puppy.

11. The breeder prefers for you to pick up your chihuahua in person, which can typically be done when the puppy is 10 weeks old. If that is not an option, other shipping methods are available at buyer's expense. Puppies needing to be transported by air or other means will not leave breeder before 12 weeks of age.

We can ship within the continental U.S. An additional shipping charge of $275 includes the required health certificate (from our veteranarian), shot/worming records, insurance, crate, flight, bedding, toy and food to get started. Breeder must approve of conditions and method prior to shipping.

12. Payment in full, including shipping charges, is required prior to scheduling of shipping or pick-up.

13. The breeder accepts PayPal©, money orders and bank cashier's checks for payment. A 3.5% service charge will be added to payments made via PayPal©.

14. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds, returns or exchanges, unless otherwise agreed to by Breeder.

* Any fees and/or costs related to this transaction, including but not limited to transfer fees, bank fees, credit card fees, wire-transfer fees, and/or PayPal fees.
